It’s been 2 years since our last adventure. But we’ve covered a lot in the years that I’ve been living abroad. With roadtrips thru France, Monaco, Italy, Spain and Andorra, we’ve had some fun adventures. So now that we are living in the Netherlands, it only makes sense that we should take a roadtrip adventure through Germany. And so off we go….
Our itinerary is for only a little over 2 days. With our plan to drive from Naarden, the Netherlands to Dusseldorf on Friday evening where we will stay for the night before continuing our adventure on Saturday. We’ll then take the road along the Rhine river to Koblenz and then switching to follow the Mosel River down to Trier. Our plan is to stay in Trier on Saturday night and then continue back home on Sunday with a stop in Aachen to see the Cathedral around lunchtime before making our way back home that evening. Round trip looks to be about 9 1/2 hours of driving but we’ll make countless stops along the way.
We’re still figuring out where to stop along the way, but I’m sure you’ll see some updates in the next few days and a lot of pictures! The best part of our (mis)adventures is that we never really know where they will take us and beyond our first hotel, we don’t have anything set in stone. I can’t wait to see where we end up – my guess is it won’t look anything like this in the end!!
