ATV Ride Through the Rose Valley – Cappadocia

Years and years ago, I had an ATV.  It was small and blue and my brother and I used to ride it all the time.  We sold it when I was about 20 and I’m pretty sure that I haven’t been on one since.  However, when looking at the various things we could do while in Cappadocia, one thing caught our eye (in addition to the hot air balloon ride) – an ATV tour of the area.   Continue reading

Exploring Old World Cappadocia

Arrival in Istanbul

After a bit of a flight delay leaving the Netherlands, getting visas at the airport in Turkey (which interestingly, similar to Tanzania, wouldn’t take their own currency) and what felt like a very long time waiting for our luggage, we finally arrived last night in Istanbul.  I knew it was a huge city, but nothing prepared me for what we saw once we left the airport.   Continue reading
