Most skiers who read that title would probably be envious that we have been skiing in the Swiss Alps. Of all the Alps, the majority of the big ones are in Switzlerland and I’m sure that’s part of the reason they are so famous say compared to the Italian Alps. A little fun fact for you courtesy of my “friend” wikipedia “The Alps cover 65% of Switzerland’s surface area, making it one of the most alpine countries. Despite the fact that Switzerland covers only 14% of the Alps total area, many alpine four thousanders (48 of 82) are located in the Swiss Alps and the remaining few are within 20 km of the country’s border.”. Really, I’ve never seen a city so beautiful. Set upon Lake Luzern, with snow capped mountains in the background and a lake so clearly pristine, this is a city that takes your breath away. And with over 200 pictures on the first full day, it clearly is a haven for photography as well.
Planes, trains, automobiles (ok, a bus) and… toboggans?? We are off on yet another amazing adventure! This time it’s to Luzern, Switzerland for a little snow and skiing. After an almost 60 degree Christmas in Barcelona, it was time to get a little of that holiday spirit in our lives. And where better than the mountains of Switzerland.
