Lessons in American History

Last Thanksgiving, I had a talk with Aidan.  I asked him why we celebrate Thanksgiving and he had no idea.  In his defense, at the time he had been living outside the US for 5 years, almost half of his life.  But even still, I felt it was a shame that we had focused so much on educating him on cultures of the world when, in fact, he knew little about his own.   Continue reading
